/Film: Dexter Season 4 Teaser Poster

  • Daniel Dolores · 5 months ago
Looks like a poster for a live action Chucky movie. This summer...Chucky is...in need of s diaper change...to kill!!!
  • Joel Cheyne · 5 months ago
Ummmm, Chucky movies are live action.
  • Daniel Dolores · 5 months ago
I ment Chucky himself will be live action and not some possed doll but an actual baby. Think the omen remake only much more cheesey.
  • Zinc · 5 months ago
    Aw, cute baby.
  • Turisas · 5 months ago
Ironic and morbid as always :)
  • Davebaxter1989 · 5 months ago
Most anticipated TV series of the coming season. Just amazing as everything Dexter has been.
  • twilightsection · 5 months ago
    Genius!
  • Niels Jeppesen · 5 months ago
Another spooky serial killer enters the show? really..hope it won't be lame, I loved the first 3 seasons.
  • Colonel_Kurtz · 5 months ago
Spoilery post if you haven't ever seen any episodes ever...

It kind of makes sense to have another serial killer. That's Dexter's obsession. Think what you will about his dad, but he did a pretty good job of focusing Dexter's attention on other killers.
  • jason B · 5 months ago
not a spoiler whatsoever. there's a few explanations down below if you wanna see why. but saying its a spoiler 'if you haven't seen any episodes ever' ?!? that's saying that any sequel for film/tv that has ever had a poster, is a spoiler if you haven't ever seen the first film/season...that's kinda nutty man.
  • Colonel_Kurtz · 5 months ago
Yeah, I cut the spoiler about Doakes. I forgot the disclaimer.
  • sean p · 5 months ago
Horrible. Why would you treat a child this way? The child is innocence and they've abused it in the worse way. HBO should be arrested and placed in custody for this. i'm disgusted and all of you should be disgusted in the exact same way that i am or your not decent. If you don't feel like i do you should be ashamed that you call yourself human beings.
  • ugh_doom · 5 months ago
I hope the other commenters can cleverly reason that sean p's post is satire.

    Oh, too late.
  • rnl · 5 months ago
    really? cool it bud.
They aren't making the baby kill anyone.
It's a great show, and a great poster.
  • geekcouch · 5 months ago
It's Showtime. Not HBO. It's a poster. Get over it.
  • Switters · 5 months ago
Umm, whats wrong with a baby posing for a picture covered in spaghetti sauce? If thats child abuse then about a thousand marketing guys from the past 50 years should be in jail.
  • jason B · 5 months ago
lol! a pre-emptive strike against assholes who truly feel the way you sarcastically posted...very well played sir. how long before these clowns demand the shredding of Deadly Diaper-clad Dexter jr's poster? too bad Deranged Daddy Dexter can't pay them a visit...

yes, i'm not nearly as good as Lyndsay, but it's too much fun!
  • kfizz · 5 months ago
I was about to say before clicking the page it was going to be a baby that kills people. No I know the plot that it is going to be a family man.
  • Michael · 5 months ago
    It's fanmade.

Someone over at the IMDB forums made it.
  • Colonel_Kurtz · 5 months ago
Aw, who's daddy's little sociopath? You are!
  • Palmer · 5 months ago
I like the poster. But that baby...it's looking at me, judging me.
  • jason B · 5 months ago
ha! best tv poster ever. this took balls, and i wonder how long it is before they have to pull it.

i know that book adaptations are always a tricky thing, but i think SHO has done a damn respectable job in translating Darling Demented Dexter for us. the supporting cast is among TV's best. now - there are a few things in the books that are 100% better and i don't understand why they didn't bring em to the show - but with or without em, the show is still superb.
  • Landfill · 5 months ago
I agree with you that some of the things in the books would be great in the show. Oh and they brought elements from the books to the show and it's been working out great. Plus, I really like that they're trying to be original and it would suck if I knew how the season ended before I watched it.
  • webb · 5 months ago
gotta love a poster that is a spoiler for those of us watching on dvd.

    asses.
  • Peter Sciretta · 5 months ago
Sorry, but a teaser poster can't be a spoiler... Thats like someone seeing a teaser poster for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and saying "Paramount sucks, they just spoiled the first Transformers film for me, which I have yet to watch"
  • Captain_Howdy · 5 months ago
Perhaps it could be considered a spoiler to see a TV poster on slash'FILM'?? I don't care either way, Dexter is pretty lame, folks.
  • Peter Sciretta · 5 months ago
We've been covering TV on /Film since the beginning of the site. You've surely noticed this over the past few years, right?
  • Captain_Howdy · 5 months ago
Peter, that wasn't a swipe. I'm well aware of /film's overall pop culture coverage. Just an observation as to why some visitors might be screaming spoiler.
  • Davebaxter1989 · 5 months ago
How much have you watched? And Dexter is TV at it's most cinematic, much like The Wire, The Sopranos, Band of Brothers or the previously posted on The Pacific.
  • Captain_Howdy · 5 months ago
"Dexter is TV at it's most cinematic" ... exactly. I go to the cinema for cinematic stuff. I watch TV for something else entirely. I've seen most of Season One and parts of Season Two but it never really grabbed me.
  • Davebaxter1989 · 5 months ago
Well Dexter needs (and I can't stress that enough) to be watched from ep 1 through to 12 otherwise the subtlety and slow character buildup are thrown out the window.

But if you love cinematic cinema why not cinematic TV? there is space for both on the landscape.
  • jason B · 5 months ago
season 3 episode 1, 'The Lion Slepps Tonight': aired sept 28, 2008. this is where we found out (for the TV show) that rita's pregnant.

i hate when spoilers aren't marked just as much as anyone, but at almost 9 months later, i think enough time has passed that they can speak/post freely on season 3 events.
  • Davebaxter1989 · 5 months ago
Yeah if you haven't watched by now your not much of a fan.
  • jason B · 5 months ago
sorry, the episode is called, 'Our Father'. which, by the way, if yer watching it on DVD then you should also know that we find that out she's pregnant in the very first episode...so eother you missed it, or you haven't started watching yet.
  • John Rios · 5 months ago
i like it even its fan made
  • Max Ketchum · 5 months ago
poster isn't that cool imo... cant wait for the season premier though :)
  • AAAA · 5 months ago
I hope its fan made, because I really don't want dexter to have a child it will just ruin it!!!
  • Davebaxter1989 · 5 months ago
He will have a child but trust the makers. Have they put a foot wrong?
  • Andrew Shaw · 5 months ago
    He's already got one, jackass.
  • BigM1ke · 5 months ago
Awesome!! Can't wait for the next season!
  • jrice73 · 5 months ago
Very cool poster! Can't wait for season 4 to start...
  • BRIAN · 5 months ago
YAY! DEXTER! =D CANT FKN WAIT!
  • Landfill · 5 months ago
It seems like a fake because I think showtime would put the Dexter logo somewhere along with coming soon. I think we're in for a teaser or a promo sometime since Californication has them running on Showtime nonstop. I think they premiere on the same date.
  • bretizzle · 5 months ago
    sweet cant freaking wait!
  • SharkBaitHooHaHa · 5 months ago
The spawn of satan. Great poster.

What's even more exciting is that John Lithgow is joining the cast. I'm sure he'll bring forth a sick and twisty character.
  • charles · 5 months ago
oh my god i can not wait!!!!! dexter is one of if not my favorite tv shows.
