/Filmcast Ep. 81 - Avatar (GUEST: Dan Trachtenberg from the Totally Rad Show)
i also like monica belucci but she's over aged though!
so i'm going for megan fox!
This is no better person to play a super hero.
WONDER WOMAN HAS A WAIST TO HIP RATIO not a washboard square.
Lucy Lawless would be amazing but Hollywood most likely has her tagged with XENA which is a shame. Also out of the Xena suit she's not that busty. wonder Woman has to be buxom.
she has the look (and what a great one it is) and i think can pull of the acting...
Shannyn Sossamon and Christina Milian are in no way good for the part
As far as height goes though I think they can make anyone look tall enough so it should really come down to who physically looks the part.
Even without Bale or Routh, their replacements will be around the same size. It is the nature of Batman and Superman. Welling, Reynolds, Bale and Routh are well above 6'. It won't look right if all the JL men are towering over WW.
I had my hopes up for a Morena Baccarin WW.
Myself because I have the height and the large breasts, small waist and hips plus I'm Italian close enough to Greece.
All these other hopefuls are too small breasted and too short.
In all honesty no one can compete with Lynda Carter. Lyda had the best body in the history of Hollywood alongside Raquel Welch
You also don't know your Hollywood ethnic history Peter, Lynda Carter is half Mexican.
You teen pop culture bloggers don't really know your history do you?
Oh GOD!!
Take it from a natural DD, 5'10 Amazon none of you know what Wonder Woman's physique is about.
She's got geek cred.
... wow you really think Lucy Lawless has the sex appeal for a WW? ... no way
http://www.thequestforit.com/photos/uncategoriz...
Her attempts at becoming the part have been a joke at best you might as well cast the Olsen twins.
McPhee is better but not powerful enough, she's Wonder Girl.
She is tall, strong and a fabulous actress.
Maybe Jordana Brewster??
Julie Strain
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001781/
Standing at 6'1'' (6' 3') with heels she fits the part. Age is the only strike against her.
Her wiki said she was invited for auditions for the role based on how good she looked in the costume.
for some reason I think Minka Kelly would be good...but she doesn't really have the figure for it...
Sarah Lancaster is a nice choice...
however :
Nigella Lawson...
Except Wonder Woman was white. lulz
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1526352/
But the whole idea of a Justice League film, especially one being "fast tracked" and featuring the talentless twits of so-called "Young Hollywood", is horrendous. We're likely going to see a superhero version of Ocean's 11 -- zzzzzzzzzz.
Wonder Woman needs to be played by someone with a brain and LOTS of charisma. She is a born leader and fearsome warrior (read the comic book!). Hopefully, a stand-alone Wonder Woman film, preferably modelled on George Perez's late-1980s reboot of the comic, will eventually happen (if done by a visionary director it could be a success!) and not be a spin-off from JL. But I won't hold my breath...
They could also audition Joss Stone (not an actress, but she's tall, has a fondness for accents, so why not try her out? she too would bring in a whole new audience).
And though it sucks they're not getting Bale & Routh how about this:
-I'm still hoping for David Boreanaz as Batman (it'd be good he'd be a bit older).
-Tom Welling as Superman (do you really want three actors playing Superman at the SAME time?)
-Justin Hartley as Aquaman (hey he already did it once)
-Chad Michael Murray as The Flash
-Gaius Charles as The Green Lantern
-the voice of James Earl Jones as The Martian Manhunter
You are all missing the point. All of the women mentioned are woefully inadequate.
.
Anybody can act with a few lessons. The important thing is that they look like the role.
.
Personally, I would inquire with the Russian Women's Olympic Volleyball team to see if any are interested.
http://www.fivb.org/visasp/ShowImage.aspx?No=20...
.
The way you all talk it sounds like a short skinny weaselly dude who swaggers around because he has a gang to back him up would be a good fit for Superman.
.
jebus...are you kidding?...
there are tow things that MUST be present in the actor playing Wonder Woman
1) she has to look the part
it's not enough to cast some hot chick with name recognition (alba, biel etc), wonder woman has a physicality that, like it or not, is part of what defines her character...if one of the Olsen twins was the finest actor of her generation, a true chameleon, able to inhabit any role...she still wouldn't be right for wonder woman.
2) a good actor
the currrent wonder woman is a leader, a warrior...not an OC bit player.
I have great hopes for this film...but just hope...no good expectations at all...
I'm 6'4 and a half and I would love to get a chance to play one of the only roles that was made for a tall woman!!!!!
But alas it will never happen...so I guess my vote would be for Mary Elizabeth Winstead...
.
It cannot hurt to inquire.

Adding her name to a list that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Teresa Palmer and Christina Milian, actress Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight's Tale, One Missed Call) has auditioned for director George Miller for the upcoming film Justice League of America, according to Cinematical.
They confirm that Sossamon did audition for the Amazon Princess and she apparently blew away the writing team of Kieran and Michele Mulroney and has heard back from them since. The Mulroneys were so taken with her that they championed her to director Miller, even going so far as to state that they had envisioned Sossamon in the Amazonian role all along. However, according to the report, Miller was less enthusiastic about her audition.
The audition apparently took place sometime prior to the recent open casting call, which still gives Sossamon a chance at the role, even with Miller's initial reluctance.
.
Thanks to all my fans who supported me!
If you dont know by now, this isn't actually Jennifer Garner, morons.
I still think she fits the profile of the role pretty well.
And naturally.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0812133/
1. The girl must be tall ( Emily is 5'9" or 5'10"...once you add heels she is over 6' tall..pretty close to the modern day Wonder Woman at 6'3")
2. The girl must be white (Emily is indeed that)
3. The girl must be a dark-haired, crystal-eyed beauty(she is definitely that...people are mentioning girls who are short and have blonde hair...why choose a blonde haired actress and then die her hair or make her wear a wig when you have people like Emily who are natural)
4. The girl must be have a nice body(few actresses beat the nice natural breasts, smooth long legs, and world class back side that Emily has)
5. The girl must have pronounced facial features.
6. The girl must have high intelligence(definitely Emily...her role in Bones demonstrates this)
7. The girl must be young but not too young(Emily is 29...this is a perfect age for now and for sequels in the near future...next 10 years)
8. The girl must be good at action sequences and fighting scenes(Emily is seems to be extremely talented when it comes to this....very little training would be required to get her in proper shape)
9. The girl must be an excellent actress.(She is that)
After I saw her in costume on Tuesday...Emily Deschannel is the ONE!!!
Deschanel's face is almost an optical illusion in that she looks more bizarre-looking the further the camera pans back.
Her youth, hair color, sparkling eyes, and nice body don't make up for the fact that her facebones are arranged like an Escher painting.
The Deschanel proponent above even acknowledges her "pronounced facial features".
C'mon. We need a superhero face not a cartoon face.
1) Megan Fox 2) Nadia Bjorlin
NUFF SAiD!
please, please consider her..
Kate might not have the physique that WW possesses, THOUGH if you look closely her face is the closest resemblance of Diana of Themyscira.
In addition, she is ALREADY very familiar with fight scenes given her previous stints in VAN HELSING as well as UNDERWORLD..
those 2 criterias oughta be enough to compensate for the height she lacks. (btw, height can be edited much like Frodo of LOTR)
Have a look at the picture above. This is the 5'9" Lynda Carter in 1976(age 25). I'm sure everyone would agree she was the "perfect" Wonder Woman. Check the heels.
This puts her at close to 6', very close to the comic book girl who is 6'3". Also, the hair, eyes, face and definitely body(with those nice boobs and luscious long legs) are all as Wonder Women is described in the comics.
http://destinysgarden.blogspot.com/2007/10/emil....
http://www.watchingbones.com/category/emily-des...
Now have a look at the two web sites above(in the second site play the video to see her in Wonder Woman dress). This is Emily Deschannel in 2007 dressed up as Wonder Woman in her show "Bones". She is 5'9", with heels around 6'. Compare the two actresses in their "get-ups", especially when they smile. Emily is a Lynda Carter look alike. These other actresses are nice choices(including Jaime Murray who is absolutely smoking hot), but they don't have the height, the looks and the fighting ability that Emily has. Emily you should "throw your hat in" for this role.
Sorry, Lynda isn't the prototype for WW. Not IMO anyway. No offense to her.
some_dude
WW is not about "sex appeal". That figures someone would say that.
When the real cast list comes, we'll know ;)
Also, I think that Angelina Jolie would do nicely for the role, but too many people out there have already given her a thumbs-up for WW, because she would be Warner Bro's "safe choice." She's got the bod, the breasts, the tall girl thang goin' on, and is excellent as an action-hero. But I just can't see people NOT YAWNING through the film if she took the WW role.
Honestly, I think an unknown like Zoe Saldana would do awesome, and people would be interested enough to go see it, BECAUSE she IS a relatively unknown actress.
Zoe Saldana's got the best chopps for the part if you ask me! She starred in (2000's) Center Stage, and as Ashton Kutcher's lovely fiancee-in-hiding in Guess Who, with Bernie Mac.
But come on, seriously! Even though we ALL KNOW that a woman born in the Amazon of Amazonian bloodlines would be medium to dark-skinned, still, America wants some "suburban white chick" who can play tough to be our countries' Wonder Woman.
Probably has a lot to do with Wonder Woman's historical creation. She - along with Superman - was created and over-publicized in WWII to boost the morale of American citizens.
It was kind of a "Uncle Sam Wants You!" ploy from the U.S. government to preserve our imperialistic, superimposed sense patriotic commeraderie.
And let's face it boys & girls...1940's middle-America was not, NOT going to let a black woman represent our nation!
So, while there is little real chance of Saldana getting the part, she would be not only the best as far as looks, body type they're going for, and acting range, I still wanted to put my two piddly cents in:)
Could keep Green Arrow, Cyborg, and Aquaman from Smallville series. If Cyborg in it drop Steel as don't need two characters in it who are almost alike. If spin off of Smallville just keep Tom wellings as Superman, don't even have to have him wear the costume as this is new version of Superman. If Kara in it just keep her from Smallville series also. Can keep Christian Bale of Batman begins as Batman. By the time this comes out maybe that Impulse guy will be old enough to be the Flash, otherwise just have him as Impulse.
Plus she's an amazing actress and she could fit the profile.
the moment someone from the MTV crowd is cast, such as Jessica Simpson (???? are you for real???), the movie will be a total joke.
A perfect choice for this role.
just my thoughts - thanks!
I have ALWAYS thought that if anyone was ever cast in the role of WONDER WOMAN it should be Katie Holmes.
Every little girl loved wonder woman and wanted to be her. She was so pure and beautiful and she looked so wholesome and honest. KATIE HOLMES looks ALOT like her. She even SMILES like her with her EYES.
No one would be better for this role than Katie Holmes.
I say KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES
KATIE HOLMES

I say KATIE HOLMES for the PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that would be the best call.
Hollywood has just gotten too lazy.
I loathe the idea of Angelina Jolie playing the part...EVERY damn movie has her in it these days, and as far as female action heroines go, she should just be happy she became the face of Lara Croft. As beautiful as she is, I'm sick of looking at her.
Kate Beckinsale ftw.
If you're not going to pick a great actress, known, who's truly tall (Over 6 feet tall), then pick an Unknown actress who's over 6' and a great actor! Do some Justice to the most important Female, SuperHero, Justice Figure In American History! Anything less will set women back to the 1950's. We've come so far! Don't cop-out.
Who ever they choose has some big red boots to fill and she has to beable to execute that spin with finesse... I just hope the directors/casting dont fudge it up! And hopefully TPTB will make due with all of the wonderful costume changes that happend on the show.
And let's not forget, a gorgeous brunette does not a Wonder Woman make...I love Christina Milian to pieces, Adriana Lima is sex appeal incarnate, and Eva Mendes and Roselyn Sanchez are both gorgeous women...but they just don't really mesh with the role.
In all honesty, an unknown would do the best for this...although it's probably not going to happen with such a bigbudget movie...they'll want star appeal.
And please for the love of all that is holy, keep Tom Welling far from this Superman...that weenie has no business wearing red and blue...and can you imagine him in cape/tights? How bout no. If Lex Luthor has any part in the movie (I have no idea, don't know much of Justice League lore), you can keep the Smallville actor (guy was BORN to play Lex Luthor), but for crying out loud...NO TOM WELLING.
I just thought of a pretty nice candidate I could see working out...Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. She's a knockout, has a strong, adult appearance, and can dominate a room. Only problem is, she's indeed such a strong and dominating figure, she usually is better served towards antagonistic roles, such as the recent seasons of Prison Break in which she just owns the role.
She's tall, beautiful, and she has the PERFECT amazon look
I think there were a lot of good choices stated and a whole lot of bad ones. When doing movies as big as this one is destined to be you have to get it right. The die hard fans won't let you live it down if you don't like with X-Men (Rogue's character "nuff said" too young, no hips, and no sex appeal, it was NOT Rogue.) They mess up all the time in casting (I hope there reading this for hints) lol Go with some one you has that natural royalty about them (WW was a princess) and a take no mess attitude) Use the lasso only once in the movie (for nostalgic purposes only) and most Important make it believable (Like TRANSFORMERS GREATNESS!!!) not cartoony (like SPEED RACER GRABAGE)
My Pick
Kristanna Loken - Terminator 3 she was the X www.KristannaLoken.net
5’10 Tall, with hips, bust size, long legs, sex appeal and she kicks major @ss
I was a big fan of the old TV show Wonder Woman, and being young it was part the beauty of Linda and the crime fighting scenes of that era. We must keep in mind that WW is an Amozon Queen and was not only voluptuous but tall in a womanly kiind of way which inhanced her beauty as well as being a full blooded brunett.
I think that someone like Thiesen ( Baywatch, 90210 ) would be good because she has the body, hair and look of a WW. Other than that I would look in the Fitness, female bobybuilding scene for that woman with the right combination of feminine muscles, beauty and body with the flowing black hair...
Not these waif of a women that cant even hold their breakfast down due to worrying about being thin - give it some thought - and please don't rush the movie like you did with X-Men, if we can wait 10 plus years for an Indiana Jones sequel we'll definitely wait a year or two more for the Lovliness of Wonder Woman...
On the other hand there are a lot of beautiful, voluptuous women out there, 6 ft. +, have an unknown competition. Ethniticity not all that important, since we're so mixed anyway, for example, Prof. Xavier, from X-man, an Englishman??? No don't tell me that Patrick Stewart isn't mixed?? I think he's great, but when you mix an Australian, Jackman, an Englishman, etc. as U.S. comic book icons? Why not a Peruvian WW, or dare I say it, actual GreeK, anywho good luck to all!!

Uh No!!! Jennifer Love Hewitt can't sing, can't act, and is very irratatig. NO WAY!! Think with your Brain man !! Not your Johnson
AT 5' 11", she not only has the height, but also the looks! She's young enough to do sequels, yet mature enough to fully embody the character of a true Wonder Woman!
Ana Ivanovic (if she could fit in into her schedule)
WW was always 6' 3", no matter how you quibble, so find a sexy brunette at that height and put her into the costume. She also must have piercing blue eyes. Stop all the crap, and do it right!!!
And, for the love of Hera, NOT KATIE HOLMES. We need a tall (real tall, no less than 5'9"), curvaceous, beautiful, buff (if possible) brunette actress (i.e. she has to be able to ACT and not just be eye candy). It's a tough one to fill, but a lot of the options here are good.
Currently, I'm voting for Catherine Bell.
How are you calling the other people auditioning "trashy" and too "skinny" and leaving Angelina out of that pile...ummm, she did make out with her own brother!!!! And talk to Laura Dern and Jennifer Aniston about their opinions of her taking their men...If that ain't trash, I don't know what is...and her veins are bulging out of her arms, she is so skinny...I seriously doubt she would look hot as Wonder Woman. And let's not forget, the thing she played in Beowulf was computer animated...they helped her out in the curves department quite a bit. Wonder Woman should be someone children can look up to. Angelina doesn't fit that bill.
jinfo...
If it can't be my recommendation of Nadia Bjorlin (look her up, trust me) then I am going with your Catherine Bell :)
I haven't seen Redline, i just know what I have seen of her in Days Of Our Lives...she seemed ok there, to me...they could always get her some acting classes ;)
I am still going for Nadia Bjorlin.
1.) Jessica Biel
or
2.) Charlize Theron
The only issue with Charlize Theron would be she might seem like "Aeon Flux" with longer hair in a patriotic swimsuit.
I really don't think Biel,or Fox....or any of these women who are know for....well...cliched hotgirl types would really be the ones to carry such an iconic role off.Bankable does not always give monetary returns.Look at halle berry in Catwoman. She was bankable but that was so poorly cast and scripted. And looking good in a swimsuit should really be secondary.
Take a note out of Nolan and Favreau.....look for a capable actree with charisma and who can fit the mould of WW.
Of all the young actresses.Liv Tyler isn't bad.She is at least beautiful and amazon-like and can emote.
Let's hope if they make this a decent director will take charge and not let studio execs who feel they know it all dictate to them on who they should use.Nothing is worse when execs feel just because internet users rave over their fave swimsuit bods that this ought to be the benchmark for WW.
WW had a 65 year old history and should be treated with respect.Cause she was created as to inspire not titilate.
her name is megan and she would be the perfect wonderwoman
if you look at her that is the first thing that would pop in your head
anyone who is going to cast this movie NEEDS to see her before they make the choice
movie execs you would be crazy to pass her up
i mean really come in for dinner and see her
The cast (back then) I thought would be the best was Lucy Lawless as Diana and (Brad Pitt before he cheated) as Steve. And my robot, lets just say, robo would be sophisicatedly created with only the best.
Get over it already. Brad and Angelina found love together. He didn't cheat, so stop being such a whining little bitch. You make women look weak, fragile, and desperate.
She has the perfect look...and there is a certain masculine (But feminine) aspect to the role that she would pull off nicely.
She has the acting CV and I would LOVE to see her in something 'blockbusty'.
It's either this or she replaces Kirsten Dunst as Mary jane...and I'd much prefer this.
And about everyone suggesting Megan Fox as Wonder Woman ~ I don't see it. Megan Fox reminds me too much of an Angelina impersonator and I sure couldn't see Angelina in such a womanly and heroic role.
Angelina has two roles that she always plays ~ she is either a femme fatale/superhero type in black (Mr and Mrs Smith, Tomb Raider, Wanted, Beowulf, Sky Captain, possibly the upcoming Cat Woman) or she is a troubled/druggie/thrill seeker/prostitute type (Gone in 60 Seconds, Girl Interrupted, Gia). Megan Fox seems to be cut from the same mold, in my opinion.
I don't feel this translates into Wonder Woman.
I find it interesting that you KNOW that Brad and Angelina did have sexual relations before he dumped Jennifer Aniston. Were you there watching? That sounds like a sick stalker to me-kind of like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, but really sick.
You really give women a bad name. From your most recent post, it seems you have serious issues with Angelina Jolie. The bottom line is: Angelina Jolie is a Superstar and an Oscar winning actress. You seem quite jealous, really. It's is laugh-out-loud ridiculous.
P.S. I saw your picture on MySpace, and now I can see why you would be jealous of someone so beautiful and successful.
This is really almost too laughable to even reply to.
For one thing, I didn't say that I knew that he cheated on Jennifer or that he didn't. I said...
"Melissa ~ I find it interesting that you KNOW that Brad doesn’t cheat on Angelina."
I really have no idea one way or the other. Nor, I am quite certain, do you. It is really none of our business, but since YOU spoke as if you had first hand knowledge, I felt you should let the group know HOW you had that knowledge. I said nothing that sounded the least bit stalkery as far as relating to me, as I am sure people reading our posts back and forth can decide for themselves. I don't claim to know anything about their personal lives, I just claim that you don't. Don't be so angry when someone calls your bluff. At any rate, I seriously doubt they have hired you as their spokesperson. But, just in case they have, and you do know them personally and have followed them around 24/7 for about 10 years, I apologize in advance.
I have nothing personally against Angelina Jolie. How she leads her life is HER business, not mine (that also means not YOURS). I said that I felt she didn't fit the Wonder Woman roll. I stated my reasons. This is America, right? You know, where there is freedom of speech. I didn't slander, I just gave "my opinion," as I stated in my post. You, however, state your opinions as if they are fact with no corroberating, evidence and then resort to personal attacks and defemation when someone asks for further substantiation. That is the difference between you and I.
Also, about the personal attacks on my appearance. Some will think I look good, some won't. Just like with Angelina and you, I would presume. Ah, such is life.
Regardless, at least I am not too afraid to post my pictures.
Oh, and my name is Cinna, not Ginna. Perhaps you should read posts a little closer next time.
Either way...not really MY problem.
And, with that, I am done with you. Your case is dismissed
You called anna a b*tch and then you called me fat and ugly. why? because we expressed some opinions about some celebrities that none of us will probably ever get to meet nor would they know us from anyone else if we did. At any rate, there is a way to debate, with class and respect. Namecalling because of mere differences of opinions does not fall into either of those categories.
Then ~ you compare yourself to Angelina Jolie by saying, "let US pretty people alone"...Angelina is pretty, yes, however, and you may be the typical version of a beauty queen, too...but as I stated before, you chose not to post pictures...which gives us just your word to go on, now doesn't it?
Regardless, I couldn't care less if you are ugly, beautiful, whatever. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. Trust me, when your so called beauty fades, my friend, you will still be left with your personality ~ which isn't pretty at all, in my opinion. I thank God for what I have and I sure don't need your approval, honey. Take it or leave it. Yes, I am not a supermodel, nor do I sit behind a screenname and claim to be. I am a normal person ~ which is why I am not Angelina Jolie, lol.
I have a strong feeling that the same applies to you.
Oh, and I still don't think that Angelina Jolie should play Wonder Woman.
And finally, Cinna is a screen name ~not my real name, but I like it nonetheless. Your approval isn't required ;)
I think Kate Beckingsale would make an excellent Wonder Woman. And I love the comment about Katie Holmes-she and her husband, Miss Cruise, would manage to tarnish WW's tiara.
http://upload.moldova.org/movie/actors/k/kate_b...
Great pix of Kate Jonah now if the casting people are smart they will give her the role and if they want the movie to be perfect they will make Lynda Carter play Hippolyta because as we all know she is was and always will be the one and only Wonder Woman and since she is regretfully too old to play WW next logical step would be as her mother.
I loved the original television series, and I would love to see Debra Winger and Lyle Waggoner with cameo appearances, also.
This is Kate Beckingsale...
http://upload.moldova.org/movie/actors/k/kate_b...
how bout Megan Foxx?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBAeX3Tdbw4
As you can see, physically, she bares a very strong resemblance to Lynda Carter! Not to mention, when Ms. Gale went in to audition for the role in the live action version of Justice League, she reportedly nailed it! And I have this VERY strong feeling that she will be the new iconic version of WW now that Lynda Carter is more age-appropriate to portray WW’s equally stunning mother now.
http://www.maximonline.com/GinaCaranoGirlsofMax...
I can certainly appreciate your apprehension when it comes to casting a virtual unknown like Megan Gale to play a character as iconic as Wonder Woman. I mean former Miss. World, Lynda Carter, who's acting gigs prior to Wonder Woman consisted of let's see, according to IMDB there was...
1.) "Starsky and Hutch" .... Vicky (1 episode, 1976)
- The Las Vegas Strangler (1976) TV episode.... Vicky
2.) A Matter of Wife... and Death (1976) (TV).... Zelda
3.) Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw (1976).... Bobbie Jo Baker
4.) "Matt Helmâ€.... Bobbi Dee (1 episode, 1975)
- Panic (1975) TV episode.... Bobbi Dee
5.) "Nakiaâ€.... Helen Chase (1 episode, 1974)
- Roots of Anger (1974) TV episode.... Helen Chase
Hmm...five whole professional acting gigs and former beauty queen, yeah, quite the seasoned actress! NOT!! Actually, her acting resume up to that part was rather similar to Megan Gale's.
Her's consists of:
1.) Stealth (2005) .... Dr. Orbit's Secretary
2.) Stregati dalla luna (2001).... Viviana
That's right, Lynda Carter has a whole THREE acting gigs (TV nonetheless) over Megan Gale. STOP THE PRESSES!!!
Instead of beauty pageant winner like Lynda she's a former fashion model. Both had minimal acting experience before taking on the role of Wonder Woman. Both relative unknowns. Hmm... Could there be something to casting Ms. Gale in this role that perhaps parallels that of Lynda Carter's experience?
And as for the uberdyke comment, what Hollywood are you talking about? Yeah, like any female superhero on the silver screen has ever been ultra-dykey?! Sure, Supergirl, Storm, Elektra, Invisible Woman, Batgirl. All soooooooooooo butch! Those Hollywood producers really do love emasculating all those iconic super heroines. Yep, Invisible Woman wore a mustache and Supergirl had and Adam's apple. And don't forget that belt that Storm wore that oddly resembled a tool belt! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
And by the way, get over Kate Beckingsale. She's sooooo not interested in that role and that bit of casting speculation is so last year! Oh, then there's Nadia Bjorlin. Come on! She's got the face of a gray alien! ZOINKS!!!
Take it from me, when Megan Gale dons that star-spangled costume for the first time, you will be crying tears of joy and jubilation! You'll just have to trust me on that one girlfriend!
the same way the actress ...Nicole Kidman dose....Im not say she should be WW but that kind of quality
check her out http://www.deegees.it/smervino/megan_gale.php
"you have to be able to pull off the attitude of WW...not just the looks...shes smart and even when shes in drab clothes she looks ...sexey WW had a way of smiling and lighting up the room...making you want to be her. the same way the actress ...Nicole Kidman dose....Im not say she should be WW but that kind of quality"
I totally concur! Go check out Megan Gale in action on Youtube at:

She's reportedly been training with a stunt coach, working out like mad, as well as working with an acting coach and voice coach to neutralize her Aussie accent.
Your Special Olympics-calibre responses are AWE-INSPIRING! Truly! Perhaps someday, you will be able to drive a small yellow bus of your own down to Bitterville, USA. It's good to have goals you know.
But your comment about dykes was all in jest, right? Well, actually the jokes on you since you're still rallying for an actress who's so last year and over it. Not to mention the fact that ironically you been spending "waaay too much time" responding to my comments. And if you don't want to be around those who get "all hyped up" about who gets cast as WW, then why would you be at a website that features an article entitled: Justice League: Who Will Be Cast as Wonder Woman? and has a comment section?
Perhaps you might be the one to get a life and change your calender to 2008 while you're at it. Beckingsale is out/Gale is in!
Megan Gale Will Prevail While Beckingsale Will Fail,

I appreciate that you can see the appeal of Megan Gale. As for Megan Fox, I think she's still too young to play Wonder WOMAN. Now Wonder GIRL, that's a different story. I'd TOTALLY be down with that!
Beggin for Some Megan,
Kanezona
You can dish it but you sure don't seem to know how to take it. Like you, I too am just kidding. And like you, as a child, I fell in love with Wonder Woman, thanks to a relative unknown at the time, Lynda Carter. I fondly recall watching her tv series a kid, devouring each scene and hungering for another episode as soon as the closing credits and theme song were over. Seeing Wonder Woman brought back to life and on the silver screen has been a dream of mine for the past several decades since the show's demise. Right now, the closest I have gotten is watching the old episodes on our new 46' (please, no size jokes, I can tell that you're some sort of old size Queen...yep, that was a joke, and a laim one at that). But I digress. My hope is most fans of Wonder Woman, that she is portrayed as a complex individual. She's an Amazon, daughter, princess, warrior, former goddess, ambassador, superhero, and fish-out-of-water. So you need someone who can look as well as act the part. Someone with sophistication and regality who sees the good in everyone and wants to change hearts and minds as a result. She's got to be an advocate for women's rights as well as an ally to men. And for GODSAKES...there MUST, MUST, MUST be THE TWIRL!!! As well as the invisible jet. And while we're at it, since she IS a comic book character, why bring back her heeled boots vs her current flat version. It's campy, I know, but it's also fantasy. She's a superhero for KRIPESAKES, not a WWE bulldagger wrestler.
Over & OUT,
Kanezona
haven't u heard tat megan foxx's age i rite?! but wateva, i guess u didn't. but just 2 let u know, her age is rite 4 WW. is this, lyk, the only website u check out on 2 hear news and crap? well, watev.
By the way, quit typing with your toes, it's really hard trying decipher your little rants.
It's good to hear that you can take it. Particularly with your affinity for size and all. And we'll just leave it at that. ;)
The reason for her losing her powers when out of the costume was a plot device. Pull the belt off or have her in her Diana Prince disguise, she was helpless because off of Paradise Island, she would lose all of her Amazonian powers being in Man's World unless she donned her magic belt. Of course that meant that her belt was soft and malleable in order to be easily ripped off of her. I think viewers are going to want to see her belt, tiara, as well as bracelets looking more like real forged metal so the whole soft material for the belt probably wouldn't hold up with today's more sophisticated audiences. So like you, I say, keep her powers a constant. And for GODSAKES, no chloroform crap! She was always getting knocked out with that stuff on the old tv series. I mean, they worked that plot device to death!
As for your point about the high heels being used to promote a more feminine asthetic, you're right. But look at Michelle Pfeifer in that Catwoman costume. Albeit she was portraying a villian, but she did kick some serious butt in those awesome heels! I know it's kinda absurd to think of an Amazon wearing such footwear, particularly in battle, but then again, didn't they supposedly burn off their left breasts and not go running around in a star spangled bustiere?! She's a comic book character, you're gonna have to suspend some disbelief and just buy into the whole Amazon with heels=even taller and deadlier concept.
Yes, she definitely needs to be approachable, which is how Lynda Carter portrayed her. And she was very deadpan, the straight
(wo)man of the show, which was very campy, particularly the ABC 1940's version. But that's what made it fun in my small (please, no size comments thank you) mind at the time. I think some camp like the Superman and Superman 2 films is great. It's campy but not to the point where it becomes a caricature of itself like in Supermans III and IV as well as Batman Returns and Batman & Robin.
As for the meaning behind my screen name, "Kanezona," it would take Wonder Woman's magic golden lasso for you to ever find out the truth behind it. ;))) But thanks for the compliment, nonetheless, Michael. You seem like a pretty swell fella (no swelling comments please). ;)))
no, not WG, WW. duh. r u mental or somethin?
Were you born a female? I'm guessing not from all that aggression uniquely expressed in your comments. I'm also wondering if you've ever graduated from kindercare? I'm again, guessing probably not. But that's okay. There's room for everyone, even a Special Olympics reject like yourself. But it's all in jest. LOL
Keep Those Crazy Messages A Comin',

#1 Fan of #1fan
All I am doing is speaking the truth as I see it. I love that you have such a strong affinity and appreciation of Wonder Woman as I do. And I appreciate the fact that there are websites like these where #1fans like yourself and I can dialogue about our strong opinions regarding the possible Wonder Woman and JLA films. It's okay to disagree and have a passion behind it. It's another just not to care. I can tell you care. Which makes you coolbeans in my book. ;)))
Kanezona
PS I am a man and enjoy being just that, a man.
coolbeans in ur book? oh-kayyy.
But I digress, the point of this comment section is to address the casting of Wonder Woman. And the last I heard, the JLA flick has been put on hold--yet again...ARGH!!! But whatelse is new. Apparently, Warner Bros. has seen the err in their ways and are going to reboot Superman by classifying the last one, "Superman Returns" as part of an alternate universe, so bye-bye Superman Jr. And they want to make solo superhero flicks before assembling them all together in JLA. So as for who will portray WW, it's anyone's guess now. Perhaps my girl, Megan Gale, is out and Halle Barry is in! LOL Hera help us all. ;)))
Who said they're using Brandon Routh? Although, I think you're probably correct. Tom Welling would be great if they're going to "re-boot" the recent "re-boot." He'd sure get my vote! It only makes sense. I mean, Brandon Routh has that whole Chris Reeve thing going on so we associate his film with the original two (Superman & Superman 2). Tom Welling we associate with the newer take on Superman, so it only would stand to reason that his actual blue tights/red cape persona would be on film and a reward to all of his loyal and faithful fans.
I like how you described Brandon Routh as "too plastic and can't or doesn't know how to play emotion." Yep, pretty stiff acting. And not in a good way. ;))) Tom Welling in tights! It's been a long time coming! I think he'd pull it off remarkably! Provided he gets over his fear of flying. LOL And as for you comment about that chick who's playing the Black Canary on a serious meth bender, three words: RECAST! RECAST! RECAST! That scare-do of hers is waaay too butch for the Black Canary and I just don't get the whole black grease paint across her eyes looks like a ballpoint pen blew up in her face!! But don't be puttin down Halloween, it is a High Holy Day for some of us... ;)))
You asked me when I thought they'd do JLA since they shelved it yet again? Honestly, I think it won't be for another five or six years or so. They're going to roll out the hereos in solo flicks (ie, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, etc.) while building up audience's anticipation of seeing their favorite supes unite in one megafilm (JLA). Personally, I'm glad that WB has finally come to it's senses and decided to go about it this way. I just hope that Megan Gale is still in the running for the role of Wonder Woman. And that way, the actors who portray the heroes in the solo flicks will be in the same continuity as the ones in the JLA, ideally, if they stay with the same actors. Including Christian Bale. Perhaps just not as dark...?
If you do a Google search you can find a recent pic of her. She's still pretty beautiful for a woman almost in her 60's! How crazy is that?! I know. Christian Bale I think needs to lose that rediculous Batman gutteral voice of his and he'd be alright. And say goodbye to Brandon and hello to Tom.
hu cares michael? lyk how bout droppin it cuz tat part i relly dont care. no offense.
just kidding...
At any rate, I like the Adriana Lima idea, too :)
But the BIG question is...who would be the first 4 prostitutes?

And while they're at it, why not bring back the Purple Healing Ray and the Wonderdome. I loved those things!!!
