Iron Man 2 Movie Trailer
I think it's bogus. I want to see and hear about how the man is and is going to change things in this country around. NOT how much he is influencing anyone's style choices or purchases! T
They called him a "Hollywood celebrity president"!!!
How ridiculous. Don't these people see how inconsequential this stuff is.
Maybe I'm being overly dramatic with it, but I think it's actually flat-out inappropriate on behalf of the media. It's losing sight of what's really important with the American condition and it's clearly focusing on the superficial.
I'm sure this happened to Kennedy too, though.
He doesn't control what these news stations say and for every positive there is a negative so change the channel or look for another website.
I get my news from Jon Stewart because to be honest he's the only person who calls a spade a spade.
just kidding i thoroughly enjoyed that! Good find.
I'm glad I don't see them as much. Their skits always bomb.
Maybe I'm alone, but I don't care to hear about how "cool" the president is, how much geek cred he has, or whatever. The correspondence dinner speech was always about lightly prodding the president...this ain't it.
I'm not blaming Obama. I'm blaming the media that wants to pat themselves and the voters on the back for ostensibly "getting it right."
But I don't want to give Peter too much of a hard time. I think I remember reading that he lives in San Francisco so it would be a lot to ask of him to escape the smog of liberal bullshit he is surrounded by in the most far left city in the country.
Before you say though I'm well out of the 'smog'.
My position is irrelevant. I'm not the lead editor of this site.
When you comment you make your view relevant so I presume I was right?
That and I wouldn't racially slur someone but I would politically slur someone. (because you choose politics).

Also googling obesity and gaming brings forth the significant studies you asked for.
It also shows that 'casual' gaming can help but nonetheless a link is there.
Anyway, this has gotten off topic. This was supposed to be a discussion on Obama and his geekiness. I'm inclined to agree with Brian Chitester, I'd be more comfortable with Obama's geekiness if he wasn't constantly throwing gaming in with every vice that American children engage in. It's not that simple.
I also completely disagree with the idea that stereotypes are there for a reason. I think that's a dangerous thought. Are you saying that the harmful racial, gender and sexual orientation stereotypes are appropriate as well? Or is it just the 'fat, slobby gamers?'
I personally feel that gamers are stigmatized the same way participants of any new medium are. It used to be said that you were a hooligan if you listen to rock n' roll and you were gay if you were vegetarian. Now games are the new thing to hate on people for.
Anyway, mostly all the gamers I know are extremely skinny. Even my insane roommate from last year who played WoW on average 8 hours a day for a whole year isn't fat.
Holy crap, time travel must be real, because this can only be referring to George W. Bush. Back in those days we were worried about our President and Vice President causing all-out nuclear war. These days we're still fighting the backlash from THEIR idiocy, but the worst our President is doing is spending some money (boo-f*cking-hoo, I work and I'll glady give my tax dollars for real health care reform and a better economy).
...just sayin'
hate the shots of the crowd, where people looked bored / disinterested...
1- don't go to this kind of event if you're not into it
2- why would you air a crowd shot of people who are not feeling it...
And I love that.
It's called being honest with yourself though. I'm not going to compromise how I feel about certain things and pretend that 1 of the 2 candidates that we get is all rosy and perfect.
A "fair-weather American" - Ha. If, God-forbid, the Obama presidency fails, it's not going to change the fact that I voted for him. But hypothetically if it fails, wouldn't it be our RIGHT to be upset? Wouldn't it be our RIGHT to turn on him? You act like it's illegal to change your mind. It would be stupid NOT to change your mind, when given new information. It's not being fair-weather. It's paying attention, being informed, and trying to optimize your situation.
Obama isn't a nerd. End of story.
And he needs to stop being written into comic books.
I love the people around him forcefully laughing.
Who still uses that?
If I remember correctly, they are:
1. Shai-Hulud
2. Thumper
3. Water of Life
I totally knew that, too. I was disappointed Obama didn't answer. I thought he was nerdy enough that he could. Plus, if there was ever a book made for a geeky president, Dune is it. The thing's stuffed with political intrigue.
